Skiing is an amazing sport. I have been skiing since about the age of 6. My grandmother, who actually does not know how to ski, taught me the basics on the slopes of Krkonose, the northern mountains in Czech Republic. There weren't any lifts I could use, so I had to walk back up the ski slope every time. Once I moved to Japan, skiing transformed into a whole new dimension, a whole new level of fun. I went as often as I could with my family, even for one day Sunday trips. My favorite ski slopes were in the Hakuba Village in Nagano, site of the 1998 Winter Olympic Games. I obtained the Silver Medal from the Skiing Instructors Association (SIA).
